New York-based General Intuition is rapidly cementing its status as a heavyweight in the physical AI sector. The startup, which is developing a foundation model designed to teach AI agents how to navigate and interact with space and time, is currently in advanced negotiations to secure funding at a $6 billion pre-money valuation.
A Rapid Ascent in Valuation
This latest capital injection features participation from prominent new backers, including Valor Equity Partners, Point72 Ventures, and Seven Seven Six. Existing institutional supporters, such as Khosla Ventures and General Catalyst, are also contributing to the round.
The momentum is staggering: this potential deal arrives only weeks after the company successfully closed a $320 million round that valued the firm at $2.3 billion. From Gaming to Physical AI
The company was founded last October by CEO Pim de Witte, who spun the venture out of his video game clip-sharing platform, Medal. The startup’s unique approach leverages hundreds of millions of hours of gameplay data paired with "action labels"—precise records of player inputs.
